For several years Anna Littler has been doing Reminiscence sessions around the Bromley borough, as well as further afield in Kent, Surrey, London – and Lancashire.
Whether you run a residential home for people with dementia, a club for stroke patients or a social club for the over 50s, Anna is experienced at reaching people at the appropriate level.
You can book a one-off event or a Christmas party, or several sessions throughout the year, as each event will have different themes included, such as childhood birthday parties, VE Day, a favourite toy, war work, first job, a trip to the seaside etc.
Anna loves social history and encourages people to share their memories of the good ol’ days, especially as experts believe that reminiscence is good for the brain! Anna comes with a suitcase full of vintage hats and wartime/vintage artefacts to help trigger memories and to add to the occasion !
Anna adds, “We always end up laughing during the fascinating and stimulating discussions, and at the same time, people’s contributions can be extremely moving and heart-warming. Usually people can’t stop talking by the time we break for coffee! My heart is touched at every session and I invariably learn something new about the past as well.”
Reminiscence sessions can also be interspersed with wartime songs including a singalong!
Anna is a skilled communicator and natural entertainer and references are available on request.
